23, 2006 Bernard W. "Bernie" W. Nystrom, 49, of Port Clinton died unexpectedly Thursday while on vacation in Fort Myers, Fla. Born in Maquoketa, Iowa, he was son of Joseph V. Green and Betty, (Farmer) Nystrom and Leo Nystrom.

In his late twenties, Bernard realized his dream of starting his own business opening Nystrom's Telephone Electric. He learned his trade while serving in the 200th RED HORSE Squadron of the Ohio Air National Guard, from which he retired in 1995. Bernard enjoyed life's simple pleasures: bird watching, gathering blueberries and seashells, gardening, being on the lake, watching sunsets and the time he spent with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and his nephew, Office KOHLS PEPBOYS Sears Payless Jewel Osco Shee mid 20s. Friday: Partly cloudy.

Plotnick Died Feb. 26, 2006 Today: Northwest winds 5 to Mark M. Plotnick, 70, of Marblehead died Sunday at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky following a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in 1935 in Stamford, Mr. Plotnick's distinguished 42-year career in the bowling industry included sales and management positions with AMF, including president of the company's international division.

In 1986 he started Plotnick Associates Capital Equipment (PACE), serving as CEO of the business until he retired in 2000. Mr. Plotnick earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Vermont, where he met his wife of 47 years, Lucille. He has lived in Framingham, Long Island, N.Y., and Lexington, Ohio, and his active community involvement includLexington Board of Edu- ers and Miss Ohio Scholarship Program. An avid golfer, fisherman and sports fan, he enjoyed vacations in Fort Myers, and Kennebunkport, Maine.

Dorothy S. Minier Aug. 8, 1911 Feb. 25, 2006 Dorothy S. Minier, 94, of Oak Harbor died Saturday at Riverview Senior HealthCare Campus, Cottage Cove, Oak Harbor.

She was born in Port Clinton, the daughter of the now-deceased Andrew and Henrika (Anderson) Matthiesen. She married Lester "Pete" Minier in 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1975. Mrs. Minier, along with her husband, operated Minier's Apple Orchard. She enjoyed quilting, for which she received many awards, and she previously was a 4-H Leader.

Surviving are her grandsons, Alberna M. Champion, 81, of Genoa died Sunday in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Genoa.

American Legion Auxiliary services will begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral "There's a sale nearby. I can feel it in my bones."
