Scattered flurries will prevail over northwest and central Ohio while it will be dry and partly cloudy in the south. Temperatures will hold steady in the 30s while northwest winds of 10 to 25 mph create windchill readings in the single digits.

5, 1929-Nov. 20, 1989 PORT CLINTON Francis "Lefty" Havener, 60, 1501 W. Fremont Road, died Monday at H.B. Magruder Hospital. Born in Gypsum, he was a son of Bernard and Gwen (Sibrel) Havener.

Mr. Havener was employed by USCO for more than 22 years and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis (Laubacher) Havener of Port Clinton, whom he married Sept. 20, 1969; a daughter, Tracey; a stepson, Roger Velliquette of Oak Harbor; a stepdaughter, Judy Buhrow of Oak Harbor; 10 stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; his mother, Gwen Stout of Port Clinton; a sister, Mary Lou Zibert of Port Clinton, and a brother, Charles Havener of Columbus.

His father, Bernard Havener; stepfather, Clayton Stout, and stepsister, Connie Stout, preceded him in death. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2480 of Port Clinton, Eagles Lodge 444 of Sandusky and American Legion Post 113 of Port Clinton. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gerner and Wolf Funeral Home, 216 Washington St. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The family will be in attendance from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

Kennedy International Airport were severely damaged by winds gusting up to 44 mph, said Lt. Kevin Hassett, a spokesman for the Port Authority police. At Newark International Airport in New Jersey, a parked Continental 727 was picked up off the ground and dropped on a fuel truck and some baggage carts, injuring a worker inside the craft's baggage area. Elsewhere Monday, thunderstorm winds gusted to 85 mph in central Pennsylvania at York and State College, bringing down trees and tearing off roofs. More than 80,000 people lost power throughout the state.

"I heard a terrible rip and I saw the piece of roof come down past the window," said Ellen Morris of York. "I knew the wind had taken the roof off. I was hoping wasn't heading for Oz." In western New York, winds gusted to 81 mph at Jamestown, and up to 10,000 people in the Buffalo metropolitan area lost power, officials said. Snow fell over northern New England Monday evening, while showers and thunderstorms extended from central New England across much of New York state and northeast Pennsylvania. Rain also dampened the northern Pacific Coast and the upper Texas Gulf Coast, while scattered snow fell over parts of Michigan, northwest Wisconsin and northeast Minnesota.

Ingles, 56, 3726 Scottley Drive, died Friday at St. Vincent Hospital, Cleveland, after a brief illness. She was the mother of Dawn Lowien of Marblehead. Other survivors include her husband, Fred C. of Sandusky; sons, Daniel of Bellevue and Steven of Wooster; eight dren; a great grandchild; brothers, Donald Berkey of Sunnyvale, and Leroy Berkey, no address available; sisters, Jane Saggers and Damaris Conrad, both of Sandusky, Janet Carter of Yucaipa, Lucille Humm of Findlay; Betty Lou Vitale of California, and Sharon Lee Baily of Utah.

Her body was to be taken to Resurrection Lutheran Church, at 9 this morning to lie in state until time of service at 10 a.m. Burial was in Perkins Cemetery. Margaret A. Thrun Feb. 20, 1913-Nov.

20, 1989 FREMONT Margaret A. Thrun, 76, 524 Union Place, died Monday in Toledo Hospital. Born in Fremont to John and Nellie (Mulrain) Carley, she married Oliver C. Thrun on Sept. 4, 1939, at St.

Ann's Catholic Church, Fremont. He died in 1967. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament. She also belonged to the Catholic Nurses Association, Memorial Hospital Retirees and the Fremont Federation of Women.

A 1931 graduate of St. Ann's High School and a 1934 graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, she was a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital from 1959 until her retirement in 1978. She is survived by a daughter, Mary E. Glovinsky of Marblehead, and granddaughter. Funeral services will be Wednesday at St.

Ann's at 1 p.m., with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Keller-OchsKoch Funeral Home. A wake service will be Tuesday at 8:45 Daily Log Woman in accident loses baby OREGON A Martin woman was listed in fair condition Monday at St. Charles Hospital after losing her unborn male child because of injuries suffered in a pickup-car crash at Ohio 163 and Ohio 590 last week, according to a hospital spokeswoman and sheriff deputies.

Two other victims also remain hospitalized. Both are in serious condition. Christina Moomey, 26, 2455 N. Opfer-Lentz Road, delivered a stillborn child Friday, according to deputies. She was taken to the hospital by Mid-County EMS after the 6:12 p.m.

accident Thursday, Ottawa County sheriff's deputies' reports state. She was near full-term, the deputy stated in his report. Moomey was a passenger in a pickup truck driven by her husband, Raymond Moomey, 29, same address. According to deputies neither the Moomeys nor the driver of the car, Shawn McClellan, 19, of Fostoria, was wearing seatbelts. Raymond Moomey and McClellan remain in serious condition, according to hospital reports.

Deputies report the accident occurred when McClellan, traveling southbound on Ohio 590, apparently failed to stop at the stop sign at Ohio 163 and struck the Moomey's pickup truck, which was traveling eastbound on Ohio 163. Rescuers used the "Jaws of Life" to free victims from the wreckage. Portage Fire District, Harris-Elmore EMS and fire, and Rocky Ridge Volunteer Fire Department assisted in the rescue. Sheriff deputies are still investigating the accident. Accidents PORT CLINTON No serious injuries were reported Monday in a two-car crash at the Ohio 2 and Tettau Road.

Three Port Clinton residents were taken to H.B. Magruder Hospital by Erie Township EMS after the 7 a.m. accident. They were: Kevin Kaiser, 27, 265 S. Meacham Road, lot 53; Catherine Carr, 19, 140 Driftwood, and Mark Velliquette, 25, 140 Driftwood, according to Ottawa County sheriff deputies.

Hospital reports list Kaiser and Carr as treated and released. There was no record of Velliquette being treated. Deputies said the accident occurred when Kaiser, traveling northbound on Tettau Road, apparently disregarded a stop sign at Ohio 2 and pulled into the path of an eastbound car driven by Carr. Velliquette was a passenger in the Carr vehicle. Deputies cited Kaiser for a stop sign violation.

0 PORT CLINTON A Bay Township girl was injured at 12:12 this morning when her car was rear-ended at State Road and Buckeye Boulevard, according to city police. Treated and released at H.B. Magruder Hospital was Randie Jennings, 16, 4900 Fremont Road. Police said her car was struck by one driven by Regina Borror, 24, 2035 State Road, Port Clinton, who was charged with driving while under the influence. Sarah A.

Golden July 27, 1902-Nov. 20, 1989 GENOA Sarah Avanelle Golden, 87, formerly of Genoa and Lima, died Monday in Belmont Nursing Home, Perrysburg Township, where she had been a resident since April 1984. Born in Jackson to Charles E. and Kathryn (Clark) McClure, she married Ocie O. Golden i in Lima on Jan.

27, 1923. He died Oct. 4, 1951. Mrs. Golden was a cook at the Lima-Bath School System for 10 years, retiring in 1967.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary K. Evans of Genoa; a granddaughter and a greatgrandson. She also was by two sisters and two brothers. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St.

John's United Church of Christ, Genoa, where she was a member. Burial will be in Shawnee Township Cemetery, Lima. Visitation is today after 2 p.m. in the Robinson-Henn-Brossia Funeral Home, Genoa. Dale U.

Blausey April 22, 1989 NORWALK Dale U. Blausey, 52, 3335 S. Old State Road, was killed Monday afternoon when high winds blew a tree onto his car while he was driving on U.S. 250, just north of here. Mr.

Blausey was past commodore of the Nugents Canal Yacht Club. Born in Fremont to Urban and Elsie (Bahnsen) Blausey, he married Beverly Berghofer on Sept. 13, 1958. She survives. He was a 33-year employee of Columbia Gas and currently was division supervisor at Sandusky.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother, Elsie Blausey of Fremont; a son, Todd A. of Fremont; a daughter, Pamela Louise Rehm of Sulpher Springs; brothers, Wayne and Roger, both of 1 Fremont; a sister, Marilyn of Genoa, and a grandson. norial services will be Fri7 p.m. in Karlovetz MorFremont.
